Random factoid about me: I cannot stand the sound of a vacuum cleaner. It sets my every nerve on edge- it’s like my most animal response, I just feel the urge to scamper around the room in a panic. Whenever Morgan is going to vacuum, she warns me, so I can put on headphones and go to another room.
So the fact that my father-in-law’s first response to seeing a cricket or ant or any sort of bug is to spend ten minutes sucking them up into the vacuum? Ugh. Drives me up the bloody wall.
Oh, shit, throw down! Now I gotta take a second to think back to when I last watched Babylon 5, about 13 years ago…. =)
❤ fave male: Marcus. Something endearing about that bit where he nearly got beat to death doing his duty.
❤ fave female: Ivanova. She was cool.
✖ least favorite: Lennier. Don’t know why, he just never was that interesting to me.
✔ who resembles me: I don’t even know. Garibaldi, maybe? Totally random choice.
❤ most attractive: I’ve had a thing for Lyta for years. The psychic thing doesn’t hurt.
❤ three more characters that i like: G’Kar and Londo, of course, and Bester.
❤ fave male: Oh, I gotta pick one? Then Mal. Love me a jackass.
❤ fave female: Kaylee. Oh, Kaylee, Kaylee, Kaylee. I’ve pretty much been in love with Jewel Staite since she was on Space Cases, so having her back in space is just wonderful.
✖ least favorite: I pretty much love every character on the show. If I had to pick a least favorite, I’d lean towards Simon. But it’s less like “least favorite” and more like “ninth favorite.”
✔ who resembles me: Physically, Mal. It’s the hair and alternating confusion and smugness. Personality-wise, somewhere between Mal and Wash.
❤ most attractive: I could look at Inara for hours. She’s just gorgeous. (Why did they make her cut her hair for V? Stupid show.)
❤ three more characters that i like: Uh, Jayne, Zoe, Badger, River, Serenity- like I said, I pretty much love every character on the show.
You have ever, or still are, contemplated naming your future child after a fictional character.
The missus and I are planning to name our first kids after RPG characters.
Don’t you judge me.

Not particularly optimistic about it, to be honest. It seems like a pretty classic example of the sort of thing people hate about the comic industry- a big, publicized move to “draw in new readers” that simultaneously alienates the current readers who have already invested time and money.
